I’ve always been able to look at space and imagine what it could look like. This comes in handy much of the time, though my poor husband is often the one who ends up having to physically execute my ideas. Another downside is that when we look at possible future homes to purchase, I immediately make a mental note of no less than ten things I want to change immediately which obviously cause the purchase price of a house to go up exponentially - hence part of the reason we haven’t moved yet!
All that said, I recently watched It’s Complicated with Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin (which was pretty funny by the way) and LOVED Meryl’s character’s house. This is how I’ll style our house wherever we end up (assuming I can convince Skip that our entire house needs to be casual, not an easy task for a man that loves a good, unused formal living room).

I watched this movie a few months ago and couldn’t agree more. I thought the dining room and kitchen was to-die-for-perfect. I’m especially a big fan of the gorgeous antique-y dining room table.
